Geo436 ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry here on Tuesday observed that the rejection of recommendations of the Judicial Commission by the parliamentary committee could open doors for litigation and the apex court could not afford that. Heading a 17-member larger bench which is hearing a set of pleas on 18th Constitutional Amendment, he told Shahid Hamid, counsel for the Punjab government, that the committee would discuss conduct of the judges and even condemn a chief justice of a High Court from elevation to the apex court.
