Mfarhanonline News KARACHI: Quaid's city, after four days of seemingly government planned bloodbath that had sent the entire nation shivering in utter shock and anger and Human Rights and Amnesty International crying foul, today on the fifth day appears limping back to normalcy, as the authorities with designed delay appear now halting the killing spree.

Karachiites took a sigh of relief on Saturday, as the trade and commercial centres, petrol pumps, CNG stations opened up, the traffic was restored and the dark clouds of horror and fright started thinning out.

On the other hand, the Rangers completing their operation on around 'Kati Pahari' have taken full control of the vintage points at hilltops from where the brute killers had wreaked havocs by showering rains of bullets for four consecutive days on the inhabitants living peacefully down the hills in their hutments and houses.

Rangers have also set up checkpoints in the affected areas besides commandos have also been posted and patrolling the areas. Reports said that heavy arms cache was recovered during the operation. The Rangers went on rescuing the men, women and children besieged over there by the militants for four days without water, electricity and food to eat. All of them have by now been shifted safer places.

Sources said that Rangers have established checkpoints at Banaras Chowk, Qasba Colony, A Area, Islamia Colony, Ali Imam Bargah, Chaghi Hotel, Kati Pahari and other sensitive places, where Rangers and commandos are posted. Sources said that Rangers during the operation have taken into custody 91 suspects.

A handout released by the Pakistan Rangers spokesperson stated that six wings of the Rangers and commandos conducted the operation in the Qasba Colony and Kati Pahari areas. During the operation besides clearing the areas, the affected families were also rescued. According to the spokesperson the affected areas were under full control of the Rangers. Heavy arms cache was also recovered, he confirmed.
