LinkedIn to Buy SlideShare For $119 Million LinkedIn has announced plans to acquire professional content sharing community SlideShare for approximately $118.75 million. The transaction will be approximately 45% cash and 55% stock, and the acquisition is expected to close during the second quarter of 2012. John McAfee Arrested in Belize John McAfee, founder of McAfee Antivirus, has been arrested in Belize on an illegal firearm charge. In a statement to Belize’s News5 , McAfee claims he is innocent, and that Belize’s Gang Suppression Unit killed his dog, took his passport and arrested him on a “bogus charge.” In a story that reads like an episode of CSI, McAfee also claims the arrest came after he refused to donate money to a local corrupt politician. Facebook IPO Details Revealed Facebook announced on Thursday that it will sell 337.4 million shares at a price range of $28 to $35 in its initial public offering. This means the company’s co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg will make at least $846 million, and possibly over $1 billion, from the IPO.
