GEO 436 ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari Monday condoned the sentence of Rehman Malik hours after the Lahore High Court dismissed the latter's pleas, according to the presidential spokesman. The spokesman said that the President used his power to issue a pardon under Article-45 of the Constitution. Rehman Malik's sentence stood restored following the rejection of his review petitions by the LHC earlier today. According to legal experts, Rehman Malik would have to obtain a pre-arrest bail or else he could be arrested and sent to jail any time following today's decision of the court.
