France claimed second and Norway took the bronze. The Germans finished with a combined time of one hour 9.33min while the French quartet came home 28.5sec behind with Norway at 39.5sec back. Germany s Magdalena Neuner, 25, who will retire at the end of the season, claimed her second gold and fourth medal of the championships having also won the sprint, finished second in the pursuit and third in the mixed relay.—AFP
