According to details, some unidentified persons shot dead a man in Hassan Colony area of Sohrab Goth. The dead was identified as Abbas Khan. Police also recovered dead body of a woman in Garden East area. Police said the body was divided into pieces. Meanwhile, a 14-year-old unidentified boy was shot dead near Civil Hospital. In Shah Latif Town, an 18-year old Shahzad was injured during firing by unidentified persons while three other people were injured in PICHS, New Karachi Industrial Area and Faqeer Colony in acts of violence. A shopkeeper was injured during firing incident in Empress Market area of Sadr. The shopkeepers staged a violent protest after the incident and smashed glasses of many vehicles passing through the area. The shopkeepers also blocked road near Jahangir Park by burning tyres. Meanwhile, police have arrested 6 persons during a raid on the den of kidnappers in Northern Bypass area. Police have also arrested four extortionists on raids in Orangi Town and Civil Lines area and recovered large amount of arms.
