A large number of teachers from different Vocational Training Institutes of Punab protested for their demands in front of Chief Minister House in Lahore. These training institutes were set up by the Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif in his first tenure in 1998. Protesting teachers demanded that their pay structure should be made equal to that of other government employees. It is also important to mention here that a number of protestors did not receive their salaries from last three months.
