LONDON: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Friday condemned in strongest terms the passage of resolution in Punjab Assembly against electronic media and torture of journalists, terming it a brazen assault on freedom of press.
In a statement issued from MQM Secretariat London, the Party said media was also faced bashing in Punjab Assembly a couple of days ago. “The resolution passed against media and the way journalists, who were protesting against the move peacefully, attacked by the Punjab Assembly members is highly deplorable and cannot be condemned more,” it said.
The MQM Coordination Committee termed the above incidents as brash attack on freedom of press.
