
Mfarhanonline Social Media News: YouTube is infusing its 15-month-old movie rental service with more than 600 MGM titles including Rain Man , Robocop , West Side Story , The Terminator and Rocky . Media company Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer — better known as MGM to film lovers — is now one of five major studios that allow people to rent flicks on YouTube Movies . “MGM is delighted to share our library of classic titles with YouTube and Google Play users,” John Bryan, MGM’s president of Domestic Television Distribution, told Mfarhanonline . "We are always looking for opportunities to bring our world-class library to new audiences in innovative ways, which is exactly what this partnership with Google delivers.” The MGM titles are available online and via Google TV for viewers in the U.S. and Canada. Rentals cost between $2.99 and $3.99 for standard-definition flicks or $4.99 for HD versions.
