According to details, Shaukat alias Shauki, a resident of Sanda area in Lahore, was sitting in his house at night when some unidentified persons entered his house and opened fire, killing him on the spot.
The residents of the area said that the deceased had a shoe manufacturing business and had no enmity with any one.
However, police sources said that Shaukat was a cricket bookie and linked his killing to gambling. Police have started investigation after collecting information from the heirs of the deceased.
