After the incidents of April 3, tension continues in Gilgit as firing continues with short intervals in different areas. Curfew has been imposed in the area while police and military are patrolling on the deserted roads of the city. The food and water supply has been suspended in the city for last four days while shortage of food items has been reported in Chilas. Reports of demonstrations in the adjacent areas of Gilgit have been received while shutter down strike and peaceful protests also continue in Skardu. Thousands of people have staged sit-in protest against the provincial government in Gamba, a suburban area of Skardu. The mobile phone networking service still remains suspended in Gilgit and Skardu areas.
