Mfarhanonline Tech News If you are in the market for a new 3DTV the Panasonic Viera TC-P50GT25 may be worth a look. Panasonic are renowned for making quality Plasma displays', and this 50-inch model won't disappoint you. TechReview Source have given the Panasonic the once over and were pretty impressed. Both 2D and 3D performance was found to be excellent, with black levels and color quality among the best they have seen. The TC-P50GT25 weighs 64 pounds including stand, and measures 48 x 30.3 x 3.5-inches. The set has Internet connectivity but no built in Wi-Fi, and the sound is a quality THX. Design of the unit itself was found to be vey drab looking, but most people are more concerned in picture quality and that's where the Panasonic comes into its own. There are only three HDMI ports, and for a screen of this size four is normally standard. Unfortunately Panasonic don't provide any 3D glasses, so you will have to purchase some active shutter ones for around $120-150 each. Digitaltrends have also reviewed the same set and found setting the Panasonic up was really straight forward, and use of the manual was not needed. Again the colors were found to be much better than Led LCD HDTV's, especially the blacks. Sound wise the Viera was found to be adequate, but it would benefit from a 5.1 audio system or a sound bar. The conclusion was the Panasonic was a great set especially for the price. At the time of writing it can be had for under $1,000 via Amazon .
