ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani Tuesday strongly condemned the bomb blast in Karachi on the Pakistan Navy buses that caused loss of lives and injuries to many.
President Zardari said the government and people of Pakistan were determined to defeat terrorism and such gruesome acts cannot deter the resolve of the nation that remains united to defeat terrorists.
The president also sought a report from the law enforcement agencies about the incident and directed them to ensure that such acts do not recur.
Prime Minister Gilani in a message said such cowardly acts of terror, could not deter the resolve of the nation and armed forces to curb the menace of militancy and extremism from society.
The prime minister directed the concerned investigating agencies to probe into the incident and submit a report so that further course of action could be taken.
He expressed his condolences and sympathies with the families of those who lost lives and asked the provincial government to take care of those injured. (APP)
